The organization's activities are aimed at highlighting the illegality of the occupation of Crimea and the Russian Federation's repressive policy towards Crimeans, maintaining the peninsula's ties with mainland Ukraine, and consolidating Ukrainian society by protecting the rights, freedoms and interests of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other people affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine and Crimea.
However, over time, the scope of the organization's activities has expanded.
To date, the organization has evolved from an initiative that provides emergency assistance to internally displaced persons to an expert organization that deals with the occupied Crimea and coordinates social movements and initiatives on IDP issues.
